This reference book is very awesome for a couple of reasons, one: it is signed by Senator Hubble from 1886, two it is from 1886, three it contains original wood cut prints from the Victorian era. This is a very nifty historical reference item, so treat it with care if you do use it. For something more current however use:

Each of the volumes in this set
covers a distinct time period: The Ancient World, The Medieval World, 15th and

Each volume contains seven major categories: "Domestic Life,"
