Digital Studio Introduction

The Digital Studio's mission is to provide a multimedia lab that complements the library's information resources, as well as the university's computing resources.

The Digital Studio is envisioned as a multimedia facility for Michigan Tech students, faculty, and staff.  Available software includes Adobe Suite, Macromedia Suite, and various Nero programs for editing video, audio, photo, and web information.  To facilitate editing, the computers have a dual monitor setup.  Scanners, mini-DV to VHS converters, CD/DVD burners, and printers are all available.

In-depth instruction in use of Digital Studio software and hardware isn't currently available.  Digital Studio staff can provide elementary introductions to available applications, but each user is primarily responsible for knowing how to use the tools that they choose.  Digital Studio staff will be providing workshops, and we welcome your suggestions for workshop topics.  The Digital Studio will also have a small reference collection of manuals, guides, and instructional material.
