Electronic Course Reserve Electronic Course Reserve or "E-Reserve" is digital access to instructional materials through the JRVP online catalog. Students can access e-reserve material any time from their desktop. All e-reserve material is password protected through the MTU ISO. Print Course Reserves Print or "traditional" course reserves are materials held in the course reserves stacks located at the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the library. Items are available during library service hours. Generally use is limited to in-library with a one, two or three hour loan period per item. Materials that can be placed on print reserve include:

Copyright Information Course reserve materials must comply with the U.S. copyright laws and university policies. The Library will not knowingly place material on course reserve which violates the U.S. copyright law and/or university policies pertaining to copyright. In some cases, copyright permission may be required in order to place published material on print or electronic course reserve. While the Library can provide assistance in locating information about copyright or obtaining copyright permissions, ultimately copyright compliance is the responsibility of the instructor. Instructors should consult the University's policy on copyright and Fair Use section the U.S. Copyright Law when considering copyright protected works for course reserves. |
