Materials on the history of 19 northwestern Ohio counties: records of county and municipal governments, churches, businesses, railroads, and voluntary and charitable associations. The center also maintains extensive Great Lakes collections of photographs, diaries, ships? logs, correspondence, shipbuilding records, and port development materials.
The University Archives maintains records documenting the history and development of the University. Included are copies of theses, dissertations, University bulletins, yearbook, other publications, photographs, and tape recording.

Included are items relating to ships and shipping, including logbooks, account books, diaries, lighthouse logbooks, yachting records, lifesaving documents, and material on wrecks, disasters, and storms. There are photographs of Great Lakes ships, harbors, lighthouses, and individuals connected with the area, and the ships plans from the American Shipbuilding Co., 1890?s ? 1920.
