Michigan Tech Archives Research Service

The Archives is unable to provide research for mail, telephone or e-mail requests.

We encourage individuals to visit the Archives in person to access resource material. Our normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. (during the summer, Friday hours 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.). We are located on the garden level of the J. R. Van Pelt and Opie Library in the heart of the Michigan Tech campus.

In the event that a researcher is unable to visit the Archives personally, there may be local researchers available for hire for specific historical research projects. The Michigan Tech Archives maintains a list of local researchers for hire who have given permission to have their names distributed in this manner. These individuals are not affiliated with Michigan Technological University and the Michigan Tech Archives bears no responsibility for the quality of their work product.
