People, Place and Time walk-through display
The traveling exhibit consists of ten vinyl retractable stand-alone banners, each measuring 33" wide by 88" tall. Five of the panels explore general themes in the photography of J.W. Nara, while the remaining five panels examine the 1913 Michigan copper miners' strike in more detail.
The ten panels can be moved to suit any number of arrangements, including back-to-back display. An additional collapsible literature rack accompanies the exhibit, along with free giveaway copies of an eight-page exhibit catalog containing the exhibit content and three additional image postcards.
The Michigan Tech Archives welcomes inquiries from potential hosts for this exhibit. Although preference will be given to museums, educational organizations, libraries, and other cultural groups, the exhibit can be installed in other public spaces with permission.
