Includes key characteristics, utilization, financial information, and key statistics about hospitals plus state and national totals. Basic data is available free, with enhanced search features and more detailed data available to subscribers.

CensusScope - An online tool useful for exploring demographic trends, copying maps, charts and tables, or maniuplating census data. Based at the Social Sciences Data Analysis Network at the Univ. of Michigan. Census data from 2000 available at the national, state, county and metropolitan levels.

Data Center on Transition Economies and Emerging Markets - An online data archive and portal from the Davidson Data Center and Network (DDCN) focusing on transition and emerging market economies. Jointly funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the William Davidson Institute (WDI), the site provides access to socio-economic micro and macro data on these economies at national, firm, household, and individual levels. Free one-time registration required to download datasets.

Historical Censuses of Population and Housing - Historical censuses from 1790 through 2000. The run is incomplete, but missing volumes will be added as work on each decade is finished. These are image files only; there is no searchable text for the historical censuses, so users need to use the Table of Contents and Indexes available for each volume.
