ACD Chemical Structure / Chemical Name Conversion Software

Scope: provides tools for drawing a chemical structure, then converting it to a compound name. For structure to name conversions, Chemical Abstracts naming conventions are applied. The derived compound name can then be used to search Chem Abs. The software can also be used to produce chemical structures from compound names. Names can be either entered from the keyboard or selected from a dictionary. For name to structure conversions, IUPAC naming conventions are applied.

Production of these records in electronic form began in 1970, but the database covers materials in all formats, including printed works from the 15th century.
