ACD Chemical Structure / Chemical Name Conversion Software

Scope: provides tools for drawing a chemical structure, then converting it to a compound name. For structure to name conversions, Chemical Abstracts naming conventions are applied. The derived compound name can then be used to search Chem Abs. The software can also be used to produce chemical structures from compound names. Names can be either entered from the keyboard or selected from a dictionary. For name to structure conversions, IUPAC naming conventions are applied.

Common Chemistry

Scope: a web resource that contains CAS Registry Numbers for approximately 7,900 chemicals of widespread general public interest. Common Chemistry is helpful to non-chemists who know either a name or CAS Registry NumberŪ of a common chemical and want to pair both pieces of information. The CAS Registry Number is the universally recognized unique identifier of chemical substances and is often found on packaging and on articles of commerce. While not a comprehensive CAS Registry Number lookup service, Common Chemistry does provide a way to quickly and easily find names or CAS Registry Numbers for chemicals of general interest.

Scope mutual solubilities and liquid-liquid equilibria of binary, ternary and quaternary systems are presented. Typical solvents and solutes include water, sea water, heavy water, inorganic compounds, and a variety of organic compounds such as hydrocarbons, halogenated hydrocarbons, alcohols, acids, esters and nitrogen compounds. For many systems, sufficient data were available to allow critical evaluation. Data are expressed as mass and mole fractions as well as the originally reported units.

PubChem includes substance information, compound structures, and BioActivity data in three primary databases, Pcsubstance, Pccompound, and PCBioAssay, respectively.
The Substance/Compound database, where possible, provides links to BioAssay description, literature, references, and assay data points. The BioAssay database also includes links back to the Substance/Compound database. Scope: directs users to original literature references on all significant stability constants and associated thermodynamic data published from 1887 to the present day, including all stability constants included in the book volumes published by the Chemical Society, London (Royal Society of Chemistry) and by International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry. A number of data sets are reported for most important metal-ligand combinations, measured under a wide range of conditions and by varying methods.
