Library provides access to over 12,600 individual titles. NetLibrary requires

Study guides written by teachers and professors. CliffsNotes literature guides
are now available for free online viewing. The guides include notes about the
author, summaries and analysis or commentaries, plus critical essays, and
online quizzes.

Making of America -
"Making of America (MoA) is a digital library of primary sources in American
social history from the antebellum period through reconstruction. The
collection is particularly strong in the subject areas of education,
psychology, American history, sociology, religion, and science and technology.
The collection currently contains approximately 9,500 books and 50,000 journal
articles with 19th century imprints."

Michigan County Histories - The Michigan County
Histories collection provides keyword searching and page-by-page access to
digitized reproductions of Michigan county atlases and histories as a resource
for historical and genealogical research. There are 202 volumes in 170 titles
currently online. When completed, the collection will provide access to
192 histories dating from 1866 to 1926.

National Academy
Press - NAP publishes books by the National Academy
of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, the Institute of Medicine,
and the National Research Council, all operating under a charter granted by the
Congress of the United States. The NAP publishes more than 200 books a year on
a wide range of topics in science, engineering, and health, capturing the most
authoritative views on important issues in science and health policy. More than
3,000 titles are available online for free. Check the
JRVP Online catalog for print copies if the book you want is not
available for free.

Project Gutenberg -
Project Gutenberg is the Internet's oldest producer of free electronic books.
The collection consists of books no longer covered by copyright, generally
books published before 1923. This includes classic books from authors like
Shakespeare, Poe, and Dante as well as favorites like the Sherlock Holmes
stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the Tarzan and Mars books of Edgar Rice
Burroughs, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland as told by Lewis Carroll and
thousands of others. The collection offers over 6,250 titles and adds titles
yearly through a network of volunteers.

The Online Books Page -
The Online Books Page is a website that facilitates access to books that are
freely readable over the Internet. It also aims to encourage the development of
such online books, for the benefit and edification of all. Indexing provided to
more than 20,000 free English language works available for personal,
noncommercial use. The Online Books Page was founded, and is edited, by John
Mark Ockerbloom. He is a digital library planner and researcher at the
University of Pennsylvania. He is solely responsible for the content of the
site. The site is hosted by the University of Pennsylvania Library.
