The staff of the J. Robert Van Pelt and John and Ruanne Opie Library is here to help you locate and use information in both print and electronic form. This web site will give you an overview of library services and resources. The Library staff offers services and resources to meet the informational and research needs of the University and to support members of the University community in the development of skills to be information literate and lifelong learners. Librarians offer a range of services including workshops, course-related instruction, and consultation services for students and faculty. As a selective depository for United States government publications and a State of Michigan depository, the Library serves all the residents of the 101st Congressional District for state and federal government information needs. The University Archives and Copper Country Historical Collections of the JRVP Library, established in 1969, seeks to preserve and make available for research, manuscript and printed materials relating to the people and institutions of the Copper Country of Michigan. We welcome your comments and suggestions and invite you to visit our newly renovated library and the newly constructed Opie Addition. Or visit us anytime online.
